Merlot

BORDEAUX SUPÉRIEUR

Château Mirambeau Papin

Ample, structure and balance

The wine comes from plots of twenty to thirty year old vines, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The vines are prepared from pruning to harvest to bring the grapes to their best maturity.
Short pruning, de-stemming, leaf stripping, all these manners carried out manually, allow the grapes to nourish themselves as long as possible and provide the wine with fleshy fruit, a dense but always balanced structure.

The harvest is manual.
After a long and gentle vinification, the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels from the best woods in France (Allier, Vosges). The natural structure of the wine ensures a perfect match with the fine woodiness of the staves, bringing fullness in the mouth and length.
